Matthias - First off thanks so much for the great product. I am a pilot in San Diego and really enjoy technical sim-ware such as the BAe 146-200 Panel. I installed Jon M's 5 pack last week and immediately went panel hunting as the defalt was perhaps circa 1995! After very carefully following your manual directions I installed the 146-2 panel and it appears fine (haven't flight tested yet as I'm still figuring out all the many bells and whistles), I dropped the new .wavs in the FS9\Sound folder too but am still having to use the original 737 aliased sound as I cannot find a sound.cfg anywhere on the internet. Can you PLEASE mail me one (yours would be great!) and if you re-upload a new version or panel update (as I saw a thread alluding to your troubles of uploads) I do suggest including it in with the sound ZIP next time so no one else bugs you about it in the future ; ) --Also what program do you use to make panel bitmaps? I have a 7 monitor -1 projector sim station and am using 3 lcds for my main panel (pilot-pedastal-copilot) I also just bought FS Panel Studio so Im wanting to make some custom full screen (no black for view) panels for my sim station. Thanks in advance for the sound.cfg and panel bmp art program advice ! - Hooya. captannemo@earthlink.net
I would really like to have the newest Panels for Bae 146-200 and 146-200QT . After successively installing the 4.0, and 4.1, and 4.2 on the 146-2 and lastly applying the final "4.2 patch" I am now left with a cockpit that only has its gauges appear and NOTHING else. I have reinstalled this twice now making sure I start with the 4.0 panel and gauges and then successively move up to the final 4.2 patch and the same thing happened again, and again. The panel bitmaps are in the panel folder but all that is diplayed are gauges only on a black screen.
I installed the 4.0 plus the 4.0 patch on the "QT" version only and the same thing happened with that one. --all gauge--no panel bmp. --visible gauges over black screen!
I have to say this 20 step drop this, patch that, process has been extremely frustrating and confusing as I would really like to get airborn with this bird. Please, Matt I need some help!
Also...no sound config has ever been included with any of the many .wav files. Could you please send me the lateset working panel V 4.3 or later with a sound config too.
Ideally I want the older all analog cockpit for the "QT" and the more modern semi-glass with the passenger series 200.
I have quickly concluded that all panel upgrades and configs past 4.0 only include the panel config and VC panel config and NOT ANY BITMAPS which are only included in the V4.0 panel ZIP. Thus we have a big problem here!
The BIGGER problem is that after you copy over all the original V4.0 bitmaps to be used with the V4.2 panel.cfg or even the V4.2patched cfg. none of the window names in the 4.2 config match any of the 4.0 bitmaps!
WHY???
If would be great to think that if you changed all the names of the panel bitmaps in any upgrade or perhaps even actually change the bitmaps themselves then you would of course include the NEW and RENAMED BITMAPS ALONG WITH THE NEW V4.2 CONFIG SO THAT YOU CAN ACTUALLY USE IT. = A+ for effort ... F - for execution.
Thus you released 2 panel upgrades...and 3 patches but changed all the bitmap names in the upgrade configs so you can't even use any of the upgrades without spending a day in surgery. AND who knows if the 4.0 bitmaps gauge placement will even work with the actual 4.2 panel config. upgrade !
WHAT A SHAME...nothing like making a great product that no one can use because it won't work : (
SO....... NEEDED FIXES FOR 4.2 ZIP (or 4.3...??)
#1 - INCLUDE 4.2 PANEL BITMAPS WITH PROPER NAMES TO MATCH THE 4.2 CONFIG FILES and...
#2 - INCLUDE A SOUND CONFIG for all the .wav files !
What Palani and Peter wrote seems supposably. Please take care not to mix the BAe 146 and Avro ARJ. Those are completely different panels. It would help if you wrote which panel you want to install. The newest BAe 146 panel is version 4.0. The newest Avro ARJ panel is 4.2. There's also a patch available for the ARJ, so I think you are talking about this panel.
Here is a description what I highly recommend to do when you want to install the ARJ:
First delete the complete aircraft folder with everything in it. Then install the aircraft once again. After this, please install all files of mlarjv41.zip as written in the included manual. Then install the update to version 4.2 mlarjv42.zip. Do this exactly as written in the included mlarjv42.txt. Then install mlarj4p1.zip as written in the included file mlarj4p1.zip.
