#1 update von Sinus 11.11.2007 20:27

although version 2.1 is highly detailed and quite accurate, it was released in 2003 and since then I'm eagerly expecting it's update to version 3. large plea to a respected designer- make the announciator lights more readable.

Hi Sinus,

Unffortunately the J31 panel is currently stopped for a while, because I still have problems with the engine controlling. I'm thinking about realizing a new version close to the real J31 (I have a manual now) but without a realistic single shaft engine controlling. I know that this would just be a compromise in the end. However it would really be time for the new version.

Best Regards
Matthias

Hi Matthias!

As having one of the larger Jetstream operators in the world in my hometown the new panel would really be the best thing ever. And if the deal is hanging on implementing a advanced system or not i´d say that skip that for now and concentrate on the rest of the panel so it can move somewhere. It´s so beautiful and i just cant wait.

Hi Daniel,

Thank you very much for your kind words about my J31 poroject. Yes, I think it's really better to continue without the things I could not realize (if it is ever possible to realize a single shaft engine with the FS). At the moment I'm working on a new update for another panel, so I couldn't say exactly when I go on with the J31. But it will come with or without a realistic engine controlling.

Best Regards
Matthias

I currently am working with a BAe Jetstream 31, and would be willing to contribute manuals and photos of the aircraft as well as testing and input as needed. Please realise the panel as much as possible, i was very satisfied with the setup of the last panel, and its flow, It could become a very valuable training asset if the aircraft was realised extensively. As witht he warning lamp system, I do have the manual and checklists for the emergency annunciations and real world actions.

Hello DC3driver,

Thank you very much for your offer. I'm very happy about it. The last version of the J31 panel has a lot of differences to the real J31. This because of the fact that it was made just with photos of the J31 cockpit and manuals of several other turboprop aircraft. In the meantime I have a J31 manual here, so the next version will completely base on the real manual. Of course your help would be great. For creating and for testing the new version of course.

Nevertheless I could not realize a realistic engine control yet. Everything else will work like in the real J31 (at least that's my goa) but not the engine control. I made a lot of tests and I've tried a lot of things but unfortunately without success. At the moment it seems that the structure of the Flightsimulator won't allow to rebuilt a single shaft TP engine.

Within the next weeks I will start a poll here in the forum about the next version of the J31 panel. When most Flightsimmers say that they accept a new version also without the real engine control, I will continue with version 3 of the J31 panel. Otherwise I have to make further tests to solve this engine thing.

Best Regards
Matthias

Matthias,

Is the J31 going to be branched off in to 2 types the 31/100 and the 32 with water meth and APR systems?
Also, is there going to be an Instructor's station capability for the J31? Please Inform, as I am willing to help witht hese features.

Matthias,

Do you have the complete volumes for the J31 from British Aerospace? I have the BAe ones and the Flight Safety ones as well. Also, out of curiosioty, Does FSX allow for a single shaft engine?
