#1 BAE-146-200QT Engine start von rmcconn 03.02.2010 14:21

Guys,

After happily flying this aircraft in FS9 for a long time, I decided to import it into FSX, following all the manual instructions.

Everything looks successful although I have to say the loading time from the FSX a/c selection screen is fairly long compared to any other aircraft. However, I can live with that.

My problem is that I can't get the engines started - either manually or by using the red square auto start button in the start panel. Manually, all I get is No. 1 spooling up, the low oil pressure light cancelling, and then the revs falling to zero. No light off.

Using auto start, No. 1 spools up and lights off, but when No. 2 spools up, again nothing further.

Would it be possible for someone to kindly provide a step by step start procedure right from batteries on, APU start-up right through to completion.

It would be a great help to me, and I reckon to others as well.

I'm using Jon Murchison's aircraft.

I don't know what other info you might need, but I'd be happy to supply anything at all.

Cheers.

Ron

Hi Ron,

First of all it's important that you are using the FSX panel in FSX because the FS9 version will not work in FSX without problems. You could find the FSX panel here on the BAe 146 site.

Absolutely no problem, because it's already done . Please take a look at the BAe 146 manual. There is a special chapter for starting the engines which helps you through the complete startup step by step. Just one thing. Regarding the startup there's no difference to the FS9 version. When you are able to start the FS9 panel, you could also do it with FSX. That's why I think you just use the wrong panel version (FS9 in FSX).

Best Regards
Matthias
