#1 BAE 146 on FSX von BarryC 29.02.2008 12:50

Hi, A newcomer to this site, so please excuse my potentially stupid questions.
First let me state that I am a great fan of the BAE 146 both on Flight Sim (FS2004 and FSX) and in real life - I recently took a trip on board a British Airways 146, not to get from A to B, but simply to experience the real thing. We (my son and I) were treated to a visit to the cockpit while the plane was still on the ground. It looked rather familiar having flown many hours on Flight Sim!

So, my question. It seems that there are still developments taking place for the FSX version, but I wondered whether there was one place where I could get current install instructions and bug fixes as appropriate. Is it possible to have a simple document here to give current instructions please as they don't yet appear in the 146 manual. Just a suggestion. eg which aircraft model is best to use, how to install the panel in FSX etc etc.

In the meantime, please keep up the good work Matthias. Excellent stuff.

Hi Barry,

No question is stupid if you don't know the answer, feel free to ask, hopefully we're here to help

Matthias is a little occupied at the moment, but I'm sure that most of us old hands on the forum will help as much as possible.

There isn't as yet an FSX specific 146, although Jon Murchison's new model, available at HJG, will work in FSX.

For FSX, installation is much the same as FS9 except that the Aircraft goes into the 'Sim Objects/Airplanes' folder, the others go into their respective folders,
i.e. Gauges to the 'Gauges' folder, effects to the 'Effects' folder and sounds to the 'Sound' folder.

If using FSX SP1 or later you will also need to update the sound gauge, instructions for this can be found in the thread pinned at the top of this forum.

There are still a few bugs using the panel in FSX, which is why Matthias is making an FSX specific version. Don't ask when it will be ready, it will be ready when it's ready.

Best.... Adrian W
