#1 problems with "double" sight in flightdeck von flyingkid 24.01.2008 20:07

Hello,
When I use the left, right, left rear or right rear sights in the cockpit view of BAe146-300 by Jon Murchison with everything installed as required I always get besides the normal left or right window, also a part of the cabin's first class in overlay of the normal view. I downloaded the repaint for HJG_BAe146-300 fly VLM G-BPNT 2007. As asked by Matthias, I replaced the aircraft.cfg file with the one included with the panel. Though there is not mutch difference between the two files, the one from JM has not this problem, and the replacing file does. I replaced all the differences in the JM file with the text used in Matthias's config file, all BUT one line: in the [views] section the eyepoint=41.28, -1.98, 1.83 is doing OK.
I don't understand that at all! Does someone else had that same experience?
I posted the question in the HJG forum but didn't get an answer yet.
Greets from belgium!

Hi,

Sorry, but I couldn't find your posting in the HJG forum.

About your question:

Jon's new model is already prepared for his upcoming FSX model. This new version will have a complete virtual cockpit and 3D inside views. I didn't saw that he has already started in his FS9 model when I prepared my panel for his model. The only way to solve those double views is to delete my 2D inside views. For this please open the panel.cfg and delete the following lines there:
..............

Fixed Window30=Forward Right
Fixed Window31=Right
Fixed Window32=Rear Right
Fixed Window33=Rear
Fixed Window34=Rear Left
Fixed Window35=Left
Fixed Window36=Forward Left

...................

[Fixed Window30]
file=Forward_Right.bmp

[Fixed Window37]

That's it. Now you just see Jon's 3D views.

Hi Matthias,
I just did the necessary changes and indeed your sights are gone. But it is impossible to look trough the side windows, i only have the view straight ahaid. I see no 3D-action in this model. The cabin behind the flightdeck's door (I call "first class") comes up when I toggle to the so called Virtual cockpitview. Maybe I'd better go back to the solution where I only changed the views-section in the aircraft.cfg file?
Sorry for the trouble.

Hello Albert,

What you wrote could happen when the views are not correctly placed in the cockpit. Maybe it helps when you try to move the views a bit (forward or back).

Albert, I have the same problem. Do you also use FSX?
The Viewpoint in some FS9-aircraft is not correct in FSX, you sit "behind" the pilot's seat or even in the cabin. But I don't have a solution besides manually move your viewpoint forward (Ctrl-Backspace, I think).
Then you will be in that place, whre Jon will place his Cockpit. This place is empty no, but at least you can look to all sides

Hello Bodan,

Thank you very much for this hint. I think it could also happen in FS9. When the aircraft has no virtual cockpit or inside views, the views are not that important. Nobody will recognize if they are really placed correctly or not. Now, with a cockpit inside view, you recognize it when moving the head inside the cockpit. I think it's not a big problem and could be solved easily in further versions of the aircraft.

Best Regards
Matthias
