#1 FSX BAe 146 panel issues von Matthias_L 19.01.2008 14:52

Hi All,

Three weeks ago I have installed FSX on my new computer. Since this time I made some testflights with the new BAe 146 panel (version 4.0). Here is a first listing of the things which have to be updated for a real FSX version. Please post here when you think this list is not complete and you find more things which have to be corrected for the upcoming FSX version:

1. FSX crashes because of the used sound gauge. Adrian post already a solution for this here in the forum. This solution will be part of the upcoming FSX version.

2. Some digital readouts just work when you change the value (Transponder, TMS, Radioalt). For this problem I still have no solution yet. Something to do for the update

3. Sometimes the subpanels are placed behind the main panel. For this I already know a soluion and it will be part of the FSX version.

4. The starter don't work correct. Adrian post already an idea of how this could be solved. I have to proram a new starter. This will be part of the FSX version.

5. IAS hold didn't catch the correct airspeed below 14000 feet. For the HJG panel I made a new IAS hold. This version works in FSX too and will be part of the upcoming FSX panel.

6. The TMS N1 and TGT hold controls the thrust too fast and too bustling. Because of this the TMS could not catch the correct N1 value for take off below 80 knots. This must be corrected for the FSX version.

7. Cockpit inside views don't work. Maybe this is not possible in FSX. I will check this.

8. The panel spotlight deletes one MWS row. This will be corrected in the FSX version.

9. The gallery switch will finaly be a galley switch

Please complete this list.

Best Regards
Matthias

Hi Matthias!

Thank you very much for taking this additional effort to transfer this fantastic panel into fsx!!!!!!!!

This is FSX. The Cockpit inside view doesn't work in any aircraft. I think, in den FSX-philosophy the virtual cockpit is standard, 2D is optional. sideviews are no longer supported.

Hello Bodan,

Thank you very much for the info about the cockpit inside views. This helps me and saves a lot of time to bring those views to work. About the VC: Jon and Paul are currently working on their new models which both includes virtual cockpits. Seems that we get complete models this year.

Best Regards

Hi Matthias,

I reported sometime ago on a problem with the brake pressure reducing to pratically non-existant on landing. I have since discovered that this was PC/Frames related and not FSX.

Like yourself, I now have a new machine and the problem has disappeared,

Hi Adrian,

Nice to read that you have a new machine and that you also found the solution for the issue. Can you give us more information about the hardware ?

Best regards,

Peter

Hi Peter,

Mobo - Asus Striker Extreme
Proc - E6750
Graphics - Nvidia 8800GT 512MB
Ram - 2 x 2GB Corsair XMS2
Power Supply - Cooler Master M850

I've been building this Machine bit by bit over the last few months. The HardDrive is just a Maxtor 80GB SATA at the moment, to get the system running.
I intend to use a Seagate or WD 10,000 RPM, possibly two in RAID0 to improve things if I can.

I'm hoping to add a second Graphics Processor in the future, but that will have to wait until after the HD's and for when I have enough €€€€.

Regards,
