Thanks Adrian. I tried the ctrl-shift-f4 workaround, and it did not help. Engine 2 just won't start. It starts to start, but it doesn't actually fire up.
I tried a flight where I put fuel only in the wing tanks. I only need around 1000 gallons for most of my flights, so I put 550 in each wing tank, and left the center tank empty.
This did not work out for me, my #2 engine would not start. Tried it again with 30 percent in each of the 3 tanks, and all the engines started fine. Strange.
Sometimes when I start my takeoff roll, I get a warning sound and red annunciator light that indicates Wrong Configuration Warning. Any idea what this might be? I am using flaps 18, setting takeoff trim as usual. Might it have something to do with how my fuel is loaded? I'm not sure how to properly fuel the plane. Say if I need 900 gallons total, should I put 300 gallons in each of the 3 tanks? Or put 33 percent in each one? Or should I fill the wing tanks equally until they are full, then put the remainder of what I need in the center?
Thanks so much. I fly this aircraft every day, usually stopping in Manchester, Glasgow, Edinburgh, and Dublin. Really enjoying it so very much!

Hi everyone. Hope you all enjoyed the Holidays and the New Year.
I just installed FSX Acceleration on my setup which had been running FSX SP2 with no problems.
Now the forward view out the windscreen of the panel is far too low, I cannot see any runway at all. Changing to a generic panel fixes the issue, but I'd like to see if I can change a config setting for the panel to restore the proper forward view.

I am using the panel with Jon Murchison's wonderful BAE-146-300 hosted at HJG's site. I notice now with the panel installed, I get cabin views when I go to look to the sides from the cockpit. However I have seen some people post screenshots where they appear to have cockpit window views when looking to the sides.
Is there a method to switch between these views? Most of the time I fly IFR, so no need to really be looking out of the side windows much, but if I wanted to practice hand flying circuits around an airport, is there a way to do away with the cabin views temporarily?
I am running FSX SP2 (no acceleration) under Windows Vista SP2, if that matters.

Awesome. I finally succeeded in a complete flight with the HJG 146-300 and the wonderful panel from this site.
It has taken me a while to get it all down, from manual startup to figuring out the autopilot and TMS systems, to flying a good approach with no GWPS warnings and nice, smooth landings with the spoilers deploying properly and all that jazz. Whew! Quite a challenge after using the usual type of panels and systems of default and freeware planes.
Thanks again Matthias for your remarkable panel! It was really worth all the work getting it figured out.

I double checked to make sure I have the air and cfg files from this website's download. What I have done for now is assign the propeller speed lever on my CH yoke to the spoilers. Now I can retract the speedbrake after I land.
I was wondering if it is possible to assign the invisible mouse click button for the lift spoilers to a button on the yoke? I find that having to have the pedestal panel open and needing to take my hand off the yoke to fumble the mouse onto the click spot is a bit harrowing right at that particular moment. I've had a couple of fairly hard landings from not getting my flare angle right after deploying the speedbrake.
I think I got it. I had to turn off engine air. Once I got the thing to turn on, a little trial and error (and some virtual carnage, lol) and I think I have it now. Pretty neat.
This panel is really amazing. I am flying the HJG Murchison model 146-300 and the -300QT. I've been fascinated with the 146 ever since I saw one in real life at EGPF. I've flown on the Aer Lingus 146-300 in 2003 from Dublin to Glasgow and back, and it was really interesting to learn a bit about flying it in MSFS.
Thanks again for all the time you put into this panel and supporting it.
